Tooth bleaching

Enjoy whiter teeth again with fläsh® tooth whitening
for a radiant smile.

Straight, flawless, but above all white teeth make for a radiant smile. Unfortunately, our teeth gradually lose their bright white tone as we age.

On the one hand, the natural ageing process is responsible for this. On the other hand, years of consuming tea, coffee or red wine, for example, factors such as smoking or taking certain medications can lead to tooth discoloration. Discolored teeth are therefore not necessarily a sign of poor care. However, we associate a well-groomed appearance with white teeth.

Unlike normal dental plaque, tooth discoloration cannot be removed with professional teeth cleaning. However, whitening is an uncomplicated treatment method available to anyone who wants brighter teeth. Whitening kits for home use should be distinguished from professional tooth whitening: The bleaching agents used in medical practices have a significantly higher concentration of active ingredients – 32% hydrogen peroxide at the doctor’s compared to a maximum of 0.1% hydrogen peroxide for home bleaching or in a beauty salon!

At UNIQSMILE®, our dental aesthetics department offers tooth whitening using the fläsh® method developed in Germany. The gentle treatment with fläsh® bleaching gel leads to radiant results within an hour.
Enjoy professional teeth whitening in a relaxed, hotel-like atmosphere and with extra service far removed from the hectic hustle and bustle of a conventional dental practice.

Teeth whitening up to several shades:
Achieve effective results with professional tooth whitening.

There is no medical indication for tooth whitening. However, white teeth look healthier and bright teeth stand for beauty and youth. This is why bleaching is very popular and a proven dental aesthetic treatment.
There is a wide variety of bleaching products on the market for independent use at home. However, due to their much lower concentration of active ingredients alone, these cannot deliver what they promise. There are many good reasons to have your teeth whitened by a dentist.

What speaks for tooth whitening in the dental practice

Dentists like us at UNIQSMILE® are allowed to use stronger bleaching agents that achieve faster and more visible effects and lead to significantly better results. The general rule for hydrogen peroxide in tooth whitening is: the higher the concentration, the stronger the effect! According to the EU Cosmetics Directive, all products with a concentration of more than 0.1% hydrogen peroxide may only be used by doctors. Therefore, all over-the-counter bleaching products from drugstores or cosmeticians can contain a maximum of 0.1% hydrogen peroxide. The result of this low concentration of hydrogen peroxide: Home bleaching and cosmetician bleaching can only have a marginal effect for purely physical reasons. Dentists and we at UNIQSMILE® use whitening gels with a concentration of up to 32% hydrogen peroxide. As is so often the case in life: A lot helps a lot.

Bleaching at the dentist: simple, fast, reliable and safe!

From a medical point of view, teeth whitening belongs in professional hands. Only under medical supervision can it be guaranteed that all dental requirements are met, i.e. that there are no contraindications, the bleaching is carried out correctly and complication management is ensured. In addition, doctors are allowed to use active ingredient concentrations that are significantly higher and more effective than the concentrations in home bleaching products.

It is therefore better to choose the effective and safe way to whiten your teeth, as we offer here at UNIQSMILE®.

How fläsh® tooth whitening works

We whiten your teeth with fläsh® bleaching gel, which consists of 32% hydrogen peroxide. This substance causes a chemical reaction that results in an increased reflection of the incident light. This makes your teeth appear colorless again, i.e. brighter and whiter!

After we have applied the gel to your teeth, we activate it with light to intensify its effect. We then remove the fläsh® bleaching gel from the teeth and apply it again.

The treatment procedure for fläsh® tooth whitening with UNIQSMILE®

1. initial consultation and preliminary examination:
We always start with a detailed consultation in which we clarify all your questions. We also carry out a thorough examination of your teeth and surrounding structures to rule out any dental damage and ensure suitability for bleaching.

2. pre-treatment:

Professional teeth cleaning is carried out before every tooth whitening treatment. We then determine your tooth color and document it with a “before” photo. Together we discuss which color changes are possible for you and define the target color.

3. preparation of the fläsh® treatment:

First, we protect your lips and gums. A vitamin oil is applied to the lips and a lip protector is used. We apply a “gingiva protector” to the gums, which reliably ensures that the whitening gel only acts on your teeth.

4. bleaching in three cycles:

The fläsh® bleaching gel is applied to the teeth to a thickness of approx. 1 mm and irradiated with the bleaching lamp. This process takes about 15 minutes. The gel is then removed from your teeth, reapplied and the process repeated a third time.

5. follow-up treatment:

Finally, we check your new tooth color and take the “after” photo. As aftercare, we apply an after-whitening mousse. We also give you tips on care and eating habits for the next 48 hours.
