Surgical procedure

Under general anaesthesia, the clitoral hood is freed from excess tissue using a scar-sparing technique and closed with the finest sutures. The procedure takes about half an hour.

Recovery

As a rule you can get up one to two hours after the operation and be collected by an accompanying person. Self-dissolving sutures dissolve on their own within about three weeks.

Wound care

Allow yourself rest in the first few days. Avoid tampons for three weeks and sport, heavy work and sexual intercourse for four weeks so that the intimate area is not irritated.

How long does the procedure take?⌄

Do the sutures have to be removed?⌄
No. Self-dissolving sutures are used that dissolve on their own within about three weeks. Suture removal is not necessary.
What complications should I expect?⌄
Swelling and slight bruising can occur, which usually last only a few days. After about three weeks most of the swelling has disappeared, minimal remnants at the latest after three months. Bulging red scars naturally do not remain.
Can I combine the treatment with other procedures?⌄
