Nose narrowing
Whether congenital or the result of an accident, the so-called “broad nose” is a classic case for rhinoplasty: many people not only find this nose shape unsightly, but the distorted nostrils can also make it difficult to breathe through the nostrils. A congenital “broad nose” often develops due to an excessively large cartilage or bone area, which is why these layers are removed carefully and with consideration for the mucous membranes during rhinoplasty. For a purely visual narrowing of the nostrils, it is even sufficient to remove a piece of tissue.
With hyaluronic acid injections, the purely aesthetic adjustment of the width of the nose is even easier in modern rhinoplasty. Hyaluron can lift the tip of the nose, making it appear less wide. Hyaluronic acid injections are minimally invasive and produce aesthetically pleasing results within just a few minutes.
Nose reduction
Sometimes noses simply appear too large overall and do not fit harmoniously into the face. Modern nasal surgery can be used in several ways to restore the aesthetic balance. If the nose appears so large simply because of its “fleshiness”, its shape can be carefully adjusted using hyaluronic acid injections. Alternatively, crystal cortisone can be injected selectively to remove layers of flesh and tissue without a nose job.
During a surgical nose job, excessive cartilage or bone material in the nose area is removed either via an incision on the bridge of the nose (open rhinoplasty) or directly in the nostrils (closed rhinoplasty). The method used in nasal surgery depends primarily on the reason why the nose appears uncomfortably large in comparison to the rest of the face.
Nose tip correction
Even if the shape of the nose is not unattractive and has no negative health effects, an aesthetically unappealing nose tip can make you feel uncomfortable with your nose as a whole. An asymmetrical nasal tip, for example, can lead to the whole face being perceived as crooked. Fortunately, due to the small treatment area for nose tip correction, it does not always have to be a full-blown nose job.
In most cases, the shape of the tip of the nose can be easily adjusted by injecting crystal costison, hyaluronic acid or autologous fat. The cartilage can also be reshaped surgically (reshaping) or supported with sutures (suture technique). We can also tighten the tip of the nose with a columella reduction or build up and shape it with high-quality implants.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty (also known as revision rhinoplasty) is a form of nose surgery in which the results of a previous nose operation are corrected. This is because occasionally suboptimal results can occur, for example due to a disturbed healing process. Sometimes even breathing problems occur through the nostrils. In such cases, crystal cortisone, autologous fat or hyaluronic acid can be used to remove minor aesthetic imperfections from the nose.
If major corrections are required, our nasal surgeons can remove or add material to the nose as part of an operation and carefully remove visible scars. All of these nasal surgery procedures require a great deal of experience and skill on the part of the surgeon, as the original procedure may have already resulted in a loss of nasal structure. Nasal hump correction
The “hooked nose”, “eagle nose” or “hump nose” is a nose shape that is caused by excess cartilage or bone material on the bridge of the nose. Sometimes it also occurs as a side effect of a crooked or excessively long nasal septum, which can lead to breathing problems and sinusitis. This is why the correction of this nasal shape is one of the most common procedures in nasal surgery. The excess material is removed either through an incision or through the nostrils. For maximum precision, this can even be done using special piezoelectric tools with a diamond tip.
A humped nose can also be treated with hyaluronic acid as a minimally invasive option. The natural substance is carefully injected above and below the hump to adjust the overall shape of the nose and visually straighten the bridge of the nose. Although this method has to be repeated every two years on average, it requires the least effort and does not require a full nose job. And the results can be admired after just a few hours.
Nose modeling
Nose reshaping is not a nose operation, but a minimally invasive treatment that usually leaves you with an aesthetically pleasing nose after just a few hours. Nose reshaping alone is not effective in all cases – for example, if the aesthetic shape of the nose is caused by cartilage or bone mass. For a purely aesthetic change, however, it is an excellent choice apart from surgical nose surgery.
Hyaluronic acid and crystal cortisone are the main ingredients used in nose reshaping. For example, a flat or wide-looking nose can be visually lifted by injecting hyaluronic acid. Crystal cortisone, on the other hand, is used to reduce tissue, for example to make it appear flatter or generally less large. With a combination of both treatments , the external shape of the nose can be adjusted in practically any dimension. This optimizes the overall aesthetics of the face without surgical intervention.
