This much in advance: After a local anesthetic, the “bullhorn-shaped” narrow strip of skin is removed through a fine incision directly below both nostrils. The wound area is then closed again with very fine sutures. The procedure only takes around 30 minutes in total.

If you cool the treated area well afterwards, slight swelling or pain is very rare. You will be fully socially acceptable after about a week once the stitches have been removed. Cleverly hidden in the folds of the lateral nostrils, a fine scar is virtually invisible after healing.
